I am a Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (DAHM), and a Washington state-licensed East Asian Medical Practitioner. I received my Master's degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine (SIEAM) in August 2006, and then returned to pursue a doctoral degree, which was awarded in August 2019. I am Board Certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and serve as adjunct faculty at SIEAM and the New England School of Acupuncture. I am also a research acupuncturist at the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center, working on studies in integrative oncology.  Prior to becoming an acupuncturist, I received a Bachelor's degree from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and practiced Western medicine as an Emergency Medical Technician.

I strive to provide compassionate, inclusive, judgement-free care to all my patients. I enjoy working with other practitioners to approach health and wellness from an integrative perspective. When not practicing medicine I enjoy time with my family, gardening, cooking, and backpacking.

I am a West Seattle local and licensed East Asian medicine practitioner (EAMP, WA License # AC 60916037). I received my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine at the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine (SIEAM). My practice includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (Chinese medical massage), shiatsu, cupping, guasha, and lifestyle guidance. I have a particular interest in working with those who experience pain and anxiety. Before practicing medicine, I majored in Art History at Carleton College in Northfield, MN.

I am committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all and invite my clients to help hold me accountable. Personally and professionally, I am dedicated to engaging with people for the art of enjoying care in the midst of pain and stress. When I’m not practicing medicine, I love dancing (shower style) and going into nature with friends.

Taylor James, MAcHM, LEAMP

I am a licensed East Asian Medicine Practitioner (EAMP, WA License # AC ). I am receiving my Doctorate of East Asian Medicine and Herbal Medicine from the Seattle Institute of East Asian Medicine later this year. Before practicing medicine I majored in Supply Chain Management at The Pennsylvania State University.

My practice is often guided by Kanpo and Engaging Vitality techniques. It includes acupuncture, herbal medicine, tuina (Chinese medical massage), cupping, gua sha, and lifestyle advice. Though I consider myself a generalist, I have a special interest in treating those with gastrointestinal discomfort. And while talking about digestive symptoms can be awkward or stressful, my goal is to provide a welcoming, judgement free, and compassionate space for all patients.

When I’m not practicing medicine, you can find me at your local bowling alley, walking my dog, or grabbing a coffee with friends.
